Hormonal Acne Help... had to come off birth control pill

I got very sick with DVT 4 months ago and could no longer take my combination pill due to the oestrogen in it (which i had been on for 6 years) about a month ago i started getting awful acne. I used to have it when i was a teen and went on accutane which cleared it up. Then while on pill my skin was even clearer. Now everyday i have a nee group of breakouts on my face. I do need to be using birth control but ive heard all the other non oestrogen hormonal pills can make acne worse. Is anyone else experiencing hormonal acne and know how to battle it??
