Lymecycline, will it work?

Hi I have been on lymecycline for 2 months now and I have noticed a small change in my face however, my back and chest seem to look pretty much the same, maybe a little better. Has anyone else been on lymecycline? How long does it take to work and even though the changes are small should I stick with it?

It works differently for everyone. Unfortunately, the doctors seem yo prescribe in the hope that it goes away and if it doesn't they then refer you to a dermatologist.

I was on lymecycline and I didnt see a dramatic change. I think you are better of seeing a dermatologist who can specifically tell you what the issues are whether it's hormonal or something else. It could be an outbreak from the pill or something completely separate.

Sadly didn’t work for my daughter. Back acne was helped by tea tree shower gel from the body shop.

HiI was on lymecycline for 9 week with little difference made to my acne. I was on this whilst waiting to see the dermatologist. Weaned off then for approx 5 days and started roaccutane. I've been on roaccutane for approx 3 week now and already see a massive difference. Face almost clear. Although very dry lips and skin.

Hope this helps

I went on 16 weeks of antibiotic (8 weeks of minocycline and 8 weeks of lymecycline as the latter is apparently better) and combined it with Differin cream.

I highly recommend trying Differin cream for a few months in conjunction with antibiotics as that really helped me. It is much nicer to use than Duac (bleached towels and pillow covers) and Zineryt (smells like vinegar and can dry skin out). Just make sure to use an SPF during summer months (I didn't thought as my treatment was in winter).
