Overnight Sitter/Caregiver Needed For 12 Yr. Old Boy

My wife and I are looking to take a week long trip to visit our daughter overseas. My in-laws are reliable but not agile enough to handle a 12 year old boy with ADHD for 8 days in a row.

Looking for someone that can sleep over one, two or three nights to assist with getting my son on the school bus in the morning and getting him off the bus in the afternoon.

He is somewhat independent but cannot be left alone overnight.

We realize we need to have someone trustworthy and that he feels comfortable with.

We are going in April so there is enough time to get to know someone.

I'm looking for help on where to look for this person. Perhaps someone has a referral?

Would prefer working with someone that has experience with this type of situation.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Could you ask at your son's school and see if there are any assistances who his teacher knows or could recommend?

Or

Do you have any connections at a local community college? Maybe a really responsible college student.

Or do you know another family that also has a child with ADHD that could help?.

Another thought is can you travel during the summer when your son is off school and he can go with you?

Just some thoughts, this may be a lot for one person to handle on both ends for your son to not know the person and for the person who may not know your son. I assume you are talking about them staying at your house?

where are you located? I only see United States… I know care.com has ability to find caregivers throughout the USA, but not sure otherwise. Maybe see if any of his friends parents can take turns?
