Our grandson started Jornay 2 months ago which he takes at bedtime. We notice that there is change in behavior when he gets home from school, more argumentative, less focused, won't cooperate to do homework. All he wants to do is watch/play on his iPad. Could this be that the Jornay is wearing off? Anyone have a child on Jornay, and has the doctor supplemented with a short acting med in the afternoon?
Thanks

I've noticed the thing with my 7year old. When his Ritalin wears off he becomes exceedingly difficult to deal with and throws fits. He has a hard time doing what the family is doing. It becomes difficult to get him to take his shower and general hygiene.
Ask your doctor if a booster is a right choice for your kid. My partner had that issue until he got a booster and it makes the brain change go slower so it doesn’t feel like your brain is smashing into a wall.
Yes my 12 year old son has been taking Jornay for almost 3 years now. It has been a game changer. Easier mornings for sure. We have been giving him a small booster in the afternoon. 5mg amphetamine .
