cost of Jornay

has anyone had any luck in obtaining Jornay at a reasonable price. Our psychiatrist said most insurances covered it for $50 a month. unfortunately our employer uses rightway and has it as a tier 3 medication so it will cost $200 a month, and they don’t cover Azstarys. I know there are coupons but I think those are only effective for a month.

I don’t know how to remove a post. But I went to the jornay website and it appears that if you have insurance and use their saving card, the price can be reduced to $25 a month and without insurance it could be reduced to 75.

That would be awesome for us. We have a Kaiser plan that won’t cover it at all, even with a prior authorization, and it would probably be an excellent option for our son. He has significant irritability when Concerta wears off and is too thin to take a stimulant booster dose in PM. Jornay PM is apparently very smooth dosing and has minimal rebound per his child psychiatrist. Sigh.

Yes our child psychiatrist mentioned the smoothness of it as well. It also has a 10 to 12 hour duration which hopefully means avoiding a dose of another medication to get through homework and the evening. We will see how it goes and best of luck to you.

Thank you! For now we’re going to try a short acting guanfacine booster dose in PM.

Hi! Our son has used Jornay for the past year and a half. If your insurance covers it then it will cost $25/month. If insurance does NOT cover it then it costs $75/month. Just go to the Jornay website and print out the coupon and take to your pharmacy. It appears to be good for 12 fills per year.

I’m not sure what we will do once there isn’t a coupon available!
