Parent of adult child with ADHD living across the country

Hi All. My adult child of 25 (going on 26) has ADHD and struggles with other mental health issues as well. I will use they/them pronouns when referring to them. They live across the country and are in a relationship with someone who seems to be trying to reduce their interaction with family members and other close relations, which makes it hard. My current strategy is to give space, be loving, and wait. I'm looking for other parents with similar struggles to hear how they are handling the issues.
