HI my names Raina, I am a mother of two girls 11 and 13. I just got diagnostic of adhd last year and my doctor is sure my 13 year old has it too. Struggling to be a good role model when I feel all over the place.

Totally normal to feel that way. Remember to care for yourself and make sure your cup is full so you can be your best for your girls. I find it has helped me to watch videos like How to ADHD by Jessica McCabe or anything by Ned Hallowell that help not only with coping techniques, but also to see the positive creative side of ADHD so I can enjoy what I bring to my daughters' lives. I'm also working always to simplify my life--purge possessions, extra commitments, etc--so I have less to balance. Even non-ADHD parents struggle to feel they are role-modeling well, so give yourself some grace and celebrate your baby steps.
