My 4.7 years old son is diagnosed with Adhd.. He keeps himself engaged all the time.. Listens as pee his mood.. Gets cranky or his mood Swings very often.. Difficulty in expressing himself as he speaks one or two words and run away here and there.. Will CBD oil can help me in minimizing the symptoms.. As he speaks and understands everything.. But difficult to express properly.. I am really worried about his behavior..

I don’t believe CBD oil (or any supplement not approved by the FDA), can make claims about treating, curing, mimizing, etc. It leaves them open to litigation.
Do you have a sense about what the underlying cause is? Curious to also hear why you are making the connection between the cause and CBD oil.
We use both medication and cbd oil. I'm unsure if the cbd oil helps with communication. But I know it helps him with eating. On just his medication, he eats nothing. But with the cbd, he eats. Thank god for both.
Welcome to the group there are many messages and discussions about CBD oil on the Blog, I am sure you will learn a lot by going through them and reading over them. Please research how this would benefit your child.
Also where you aware the FDA just approved a pill version so you could speak to the medical professional that are helping you and they could give you a Rx for it.
Thank you all for sparing time for my post.. Just want to ask if CBD oil or any other thing which can help my son to focus and reduce his hyperactivity(a little bit hyper he is).. But focus is very less and attention span is very short.. Which stops him to speak properly.. Appreciate your advice
From my experience short attention span and impulse issues shouldn't impact his speech, have you gotten support from the education specialist in your child's school? Has he been given help with his speech issues? It would really help if he could get support in the school.
Best of luck in finding something to help your child.
He concentrates on the things which he likes.. Whatever he doesn't like he can't focus.. Also I am facing some other behavior issues like he does sit quiet for 5 minutes.. Also tries to engage himself all the time.
While the FDA approved a prescription form of CBD oil (not a pill),it is not yet on the market (last minute paperwork, including the needed change in the Drug Enforcement Administration category on the controlled substances schedule). It is approved for the treatment of certain epilepsies. I highly doubt that any insurance will pay for a prescription for decreased eating. And, with the cost projected to be $2000-3000 monthly, it would be a challenge to pay without insurance. There are other medication options for increasing appetite that can be discussed with his doctor.
Not worried about appetite.. I am concerned about his focus.. He distracts himself very easily.. While speaking he will look here and there.. Can't concentrate.. What to do
Does medication really help in focus and reducing hyperactivity?? I have heard lots of side effects of that.. Have heard CBD oil is 100% safe and effective in focusing and reducing anxiety and hyperactivity..
ADHD medication helps attention and hyperactivity caused by ADHD (of course, responses are variable but the difference on and off medication is obvious). Most of the side effects are temporary (if they occur). CBD oil is not 100% safe and effective (nothing is), has side effects, and may help anxiety (although there are better options) but not hyperactivity unless it is related to anxiety or it causes sedation. Also, CBD oil potency may vary from batch to batch so you may not know how strong it really is. You have to choose between medicines that have been tested over and over again and shown to help versus claims of CBD oil effect with limited, if any, science as support (but studies are being done).
Thanks Elijah.. Appreciate your advice.. Will try to give any medication to my son.. I have started his therapies as well.. Hope to see improvement.. BTW which medication you are using for ur kid..??
