Hi everyone I am Mary! I have joined this site in the hopes of learning and engaging with parents of defiant adhd children. I am on my last leg at this point and my son is barely turning 6. Hope to hear from y'all and hoping to have some advise to give! Thanks!

No advice, but I’m in the same boat. I have many days when my son (almost 6) just wears me out with his constant stubbornness and refusal to behave. You’re not alone.

Hi, can you give me a little more information? When was he officially diagnosed? Was the diagnosis ADHD with ODD? Is he on medication? How is his behavior in school as opposed to at home? Have you considered therapy for your son and you... even if it's just to stay sane and get some support for yourself? Does he have an IEP in school?

I’m in the same boat and completely lost. Some days I turn into a 5 year old arguing with my 5 year old. I just started listening to Dr. Russell Barkley on Adhd on YouTube and am learning a lot. Well worth the time to listen.
