Extra Help - Therapy

Does your child go to a behavioral therapist, psychiatrist or psychologist? Would love to know what therapies are working for your children. Any recommendations/suggestions are appreciated.

My daughter sees a therapist every other week and they talk about what it means to have adhd and the self esteem issues that might come with it. I think it is worth it even though it is expensive for me. I don't eat out ever or go to movies anymore because if the cost!

My son has been to counseling, occupational therapy, sees a psychiatrist, and now a behavioral psychologist. I felt like his behavior was worse when he did weekly counseling. Occupational therapy helped because he learned about his internal engine and zones when we discussed his feelings. I feel like I learned some techniques to work with him. The psychiatrist just monitors his medications. The behavioral psychologist is more for me as he is helping to teach me how to handle my son’s behavior.
