Hello moms. Well after a long week, I had our first parent teachers conference. Needles to say I was expecting the worse, but what I heard was just the opposite of what I thought. Well of course lack of focus, and keeping hands to himself will always be a concern, but to hear my son thrive in one on one attention means there is hope for him after all. I can now see my son thrives better one on one than he does in big groups unless he is having an overall good day. They all praised him, even the principle came out and sat and talked and offered full support as to help my son out. Now is grades where a little all over the place but he shows real improvement. That, in that moment made me feel like the best mom ever to an ADHD kid. Yes lack of focus and impulsive behavior is a problem but once we get things start with therapy and meds I feel my son has a real chance at showing people how awesome of a student he is. Wow! I just had to express my joy this week. I hope you all had a great week, and i hope we all always make the best out of our week with our kids. My next step now is getting the propee paper work for school in order for him to learn the way he needs to learn, and also disability. Question, has anyone one filled out forms for disability for there kids who have ADHD?

Angie I am so sorry it has taken me this long to cone back on here.

I'm so happy to hear that about your son at school and that you had your meeting if you really would like me to help you I would love to add a town about 30 he leaves along with so many other programs and solutions for My Son if I can help One parent and child to save a little time because it's exhausting and it doesn't get easier and he starting out a little bit late with the program but is actually better late than never not too late I'll especially if we can get you up to speed.

Doctors were not really give diagnoses for ADHD because or they would be it would have to be put down as other health impairments because AD HD was not approved to be put down as alone to give an IEP until certain states gained approval inDecember 2016 and that changed for many states

It didn't change for Illinois need to look up and see if it changed for your it will make things a lot easier but either way he will get it also with ADHD he's probably having sensory issues at school which could cause overwhelming feeling anxiety and it's on top of the word come because of the ADHD so it's their way of being about to process all of that information in there brains and if it gets bottled up and there within each day and because of it and they don't have a way to let it out I like a Pepsi bottle it's been shaken up when you're at the CAT5 finally if you know about sensory they can incorporate into the IEP things like a short break five minutes caring something heavy if they have a sensory room or and occupational therapist on site lettuce will do a specially elementary loud don't most of sensory but not fine motor which is balance walking all that but

If you want to shoot me an email at kiki82871@Gmail.com and put your Angiewat 3 three in caps in the subject line with ADHD parents together I can give you a short email and we can decide if you want to text or talk or something because of the

Amount of information that I really would like to give you when going forward with the pediatrician and the IEP that hopefully will help and also save you time long term.

Right now I'm going to really pay the worst time in my life and I've never had it easy but I still want to help if I have one parent one child if one parent went out could've been there for me and my son I may not of been stressed so then as well as knowing more can I have a hurt especially when you get into evening as he gets older

Also if no one responded on the doctor you can go to health grades.com there's an app to and it's awesome to find out that easy simple but in your area they need you looking for I can add it yes on yourself any doctors insurance and we all be there for you when you need it.

I hope this is not too late I apologize that's why I said if we just do it over email and then text or phone call I do want to help.

I am going to check in your state right now I get to go look back at your other email and see if I can tell about the diagnosis change last year.

Sorry for any errors it's speech to text me in the keyboard is not working right right now hopefully he can figure it out when I'm saying.

Kind Regards

Jennifer

Glad you are making progress.

Once you have the diagnosis of ADD or ADHD, your doctor can write the school a letter to request the 504 plan. That’s pretty much guaranteed if you request it. Now, for the IEP, the schools determined qualification based on the results of the psychoeducational assessment the school provides.

If the child does poorly, you would get the IEP for the subjects in question ( math, reading, etc).

If he does well, he won’t get the service.

Good luck !
