Im a mom of 4 but 1 with ADHD he is 9yrs old. It is tirering and stressful.He is in regular classes and he has anger issues and hes on meds.

For past two days he has been getting in trouble at school today the principal called me and I have a meeting with him tomorrow because he called someone the B word and now I don't know what to do because he does have anger issues he's on medication me and my husband we do try and talk to him but he's really rebellious I don't know what to do I don't know if anyone else has any other issues with this they can give me some pointers or something he does have a behavioral specialist that he sees and has a psychologist also unavailing any pointers on how to work with it I would really appreciate it

Umm he does..but its hard

The school needs to do a functional behavioral assessment and develop a Behavior Intervention Plan. That's really important because all the teachers have to follow its instructions and you don't want him being punished because of his ADHD! Hopefully, he has counseling goals as well?

Make sure that the school is aware that they have to comply with your child's IEP/504 plan, these are part of your child's civil rights. Maybe the behavior specialist and psychologist are not the right ones for a child with ADHD that has behavior issues. I have found that they just don't have enough experience or really have no background in helping kids with ADD/ADHD. When my daughter punched a kid on the bus when she was in elementary school (she's almost 14) it took us going through 3 pediatricians and 2 psychologists before we found ones that had the experience and knowledge to help her with her behavior and getting her on the right medication and right dosage that works well for her.

Good luck and hang in there believe me I know it looks like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but there is and once you get to the light everything will be a lot easier for the whole family.
