I have been using Active 10 for more than a year and think it is great until now! I have just had a new Android phone - just an updated version of my old phone. Now the app is working in the morning when I take the dogs and I usually get about 17- 20 active minutes which is great but when I take them in the afternoon like today mo recorded brisk walking at all when I always used to get at least 4- 5 minutes. I also cannot get the app to work checking my pace holding my phone in my hand. Before I could March on the spot or walk briskly up and down the hall and do about 135 but now it is only recording 65!! Driving me crazy?!! Can you help?
Help!!: I have been using Active 10 for more than... - Active 10
Help!!
the only suggestion I would have is
1) check of your mobile services is on and GPS
2) contact the helpline/email given in the app under DISCOVER —> CONTACT US
Hope you get it resolved quickly.
But besides that, your regularly walking is awesome!!! Well done!
Thank you ! I have e mailed the help desk and see if they can throw some light on it - driving me insane!!
Oh dear. In the meantime, another suggestion might be to download the free version of Runkeeper. I have both the Active10 and Runkeeper on my phone, and Runkeeper has proven to be really reliable.
And it’s not for runs only. It tracks walks fairly well and even if you don’t start tracking every walk, it also tries to record a walk when you do one.
The free version is almost fully functional.
It doesn’t have as many badges or even colourful badges, but tracking those miles might just give you the motivation similarly to the Active10 app?
StepsApp is another one that also works in the background like the Active10 app.
Here is a list of some others all available on Android:
Google Fit
Leap Fitness Step Counter
Map My Walk
MyFitnessPal
Pedometer by ITO Technologies
Pace Pedometer
Runkeeper
StepsApp
Many thanks for this and for all the suggestions. Not bothered about badges or anything just want to try to do at lease 20 mins brisk walking. I have steps on my watch and I normally do 8-10000 steps - need to keep my motivation to help with my COPD! uh
