I was especially amused that one of them was Hendo's

I hope you mean the famous relish of our neck of the woods. I daren’t Google search in case it turns out not to be 😁🙈

Happy new year GM 👍😀

I do indeed, you will be relieved to know. My precious firstborn is moving back to these parts so Father Christmas made sure he had a suitable condiment in his stocking.

Happy New Year to you too! Glad me and mine got out to admire the view from The Fabric yesterday in the fine weather.

Oh lovely! Not walked up there for some while. Last time we went to the pub for lunch in front of the fire, having walked across to Ogston.

Thank goodness about the relish! 😮‍💨😀. What a find in your Christmas stocking. They’ve moved their premises now I understand. I bet that was a wrench. It should be a museum, a shrine to Hendo. If it’s not already. Which reminds me, we’re clean out! 😱

Good news of your son returning! Happy new year indeed 🙂👍

I did the “borrow a dog” thing and it was a life-changing decision which led me to C25k. I couldn’t keep up with him, so something had to give 😀

We are still walking together, as his running days are behind him now. I shall collect him tomorrow as usual, come rain, shine, snow or blow 😀🐕💦🌝🌧🌊. I have much to thank him for 🙏🥰

Oh, wow, that's awesome! Fancy owing such a dramatically positive change in lifestyle to someone else's dog!

I saw a physio who helped me a lot with my back and who recommended C25K. That almost throwaway comment started me running and has had an even greater impact than the back exercises!

our backs are muscly so need to be worked regularly to keep us ticking along 🙂

I find yoga in front of the telly such a boon. It’s fab for backs, and everything else too 😀

I was just in the grocer’s and he hurt his back just turning round. So off he went to play walking football and declared himself fit again. We have to keep moving 🙂

Exactly! A friend suggested I take to my bed after I slipped a disc again, stay there for a week and just rest! Instead I walked (well, hobbled) as soon as I could and after a few weeks of very, very gentle exercises, I progressed from shuffling the length of the garden, to walking, to barely jogging, to running for one whole minute!

you can’t just stay in bed for a week though. It’s ok if you’ve got hot and cold running flunkeys but most of us haven’t 😀

I’m pleased to hear you were soon up and about 💪😀

Lots of older folks are getting out when otherwise they might not, simply because they have dogs to walk 🐕🙂

I seriously think physios/trainers/gym membership/yoga out pilates classes etc should be on the NHS, available to all. Long term it would save an absolute fortune.

pyjama yoga sounds one I’d readily do! I love yoga 🧘‍♀️ 😍

I luckily self-referred for knee physio appointment. I got in really quick, which astonished me 😀. I was back on the road in no time , simply by doing the exercises and keeping moving as instructed 🏃‍♀️
