During my life 70+ I’ve tried every diet known to man. When I was young I succeeded most times in losing the weight and off times kept it off. Now though, in my 70 th decade, I’m struggling . I know carbs make me crave more, I love to snack, I like to reward myself with a coffee and biscuit. Try as I might I find it hard to stop snacking after 6 pm.

Well that’s me and after a TIA in March I’ve been told to lose4 stone😳 So it’s not about how I look Anymore but for my health. I’ve got all clear to exercise and I’ve started the active 10 programme, joined a yoga class, it’s tough going as I’m soo heavy. So I need help to focus on losing this weight which is a strain in all my organs.

Well done for starting your journey to a fitter healthier you. I've not done the Active 10 but did couch to five k and can now run when I want where I want. Maybe that's something you'd like to try once you've built your fitness up a bit. Thinking of treating yourself, every time I run I put £1 in a little savings account, this is my way of saving for my next expensive running shoes, a pound isn't too noticeable and it's nice to build it up, most packets of biscuits cost that or more. You could save what you don't spend on biscuits maybe. Have fun with your fitness journey, you've come to a great place for help, support and advice, a lot of us have found good friends through this forum and even met some of them at races.

Well done for finding us! A big warm welcome! And well done for starting Active10 and starting a yoga class.
