Saturday walk ..... BIG Mistake! 😒

Well my back had been slowly improving and the PF in my right foot was not too bad .The weather was good and I really needed to get out of the door .

I had barely moved since my bike ride .

So I had absolutely no intentions of pushing this .

It was just going to be a slow gentle walk on a 1k route.

I could tell I had a bit of discomfort from my foot, but certainly not pain or anything that concerned me but I could tell I was compensating for it a little bit .

My back felt stiff , but again no pain or any real discomfort.

I just pootled along at a snail pace just enjoying being out .

I decided at 1k that I would finish , although I had the option of adding a other km I thought no, do the sensible thing .

So went back home .

No problems to speak of in the afternoon so even went (drove) to the shops and walked around there ok .

Then the next morning!!!

I could barely move,

Just turning over in bed was incredibly painful and actually getting out of bed was quite a performance that took quite a long time .

One up I decided as I didn't need to go out that I'd spend the day in my dressing gown, my mobility was so poor I doubt I could have got dressed .

I used my muscle rub gel (Amazing stuff!)

amzn.eu/d/frcnAxi

And bobbled downstairs for breakfast, which now consists of half the local pharmacy supplies with an added 2 paracetamol for my back !

I had amazing improvement throughout the day with regular paracetamol and muscle rubs.

However, it's was quite painful again this morning, perhaps a little less than yesterday morning but not much .

Looks like this will be my routine for a while , but I do have a physio appointment Tuesday evening, so fingers crossed 😟🀞

oh bummer. This must feel like one step forward, two steps back.

But it probably is actually step by step forward, but not quite visible yet.

Baby steps, baby steps.

Well, I was going to click the like button, then decided against it as there's nowt to like πŸ˜” I'm so sorry you have had another set back and really hope the physio can help. I'm setting intentions for you that the pain sorts out quickly and you can get back to your strolls πŸ™

I know, sometimes a 'Like' button doesn't seem appropriate πŸ€”I'll see what the physio says tonight 🀞

Sorry to hear about your setback. If it's any consolation, I had a flare up of hip bursitis in January and it was very much two steps forward, one step back, to get over it. Some days I felt fine and went for a walk, then the next day it was stiff and painful and I felt back to square one. Very demoralising. But it did clear up in the end and I wish the same for you too. Good luck!

Sue :)

Thank you Sue.I'm sure it will probably take a similar path but as you say, very demoralising 😟

Best to walk on soft bridle paths rather than a hard road especially with PF.
