Walking has so many physical and mental health benefits. I have been wearing a Fitbit since January and feel so much healthier! I came off antidepressants which I had been taking for years and haven't looked back. It must be difficult with COPD but I am sure you will feel better for walking. Daisy1925

Hi Daisy1925..it is difficult with copd but I have to do what I can during the milder weather..winter is so depressing for me. I also have type2 diabetes so healthy eating and exercise is so beneficial. I'm 64 so need to keep going and help myself as much as is physically possible. Thanks for your comments xxx

I'm 64 too. A bit of an old banger really. Most of my health issues are in my joints. Thankfully my engine (heart and lungs) are OK even if the body works falling to pieces! I've still got my bingo wings, thunder thighs and jiggly bits over my belly and rear despite losing weight. But as I am not planning to go out in hot pants or a boob tube am not too worried. Good health is the most important thing so I hope you can get out and enjoy the fine weather. Daisy1925

Hi Mags

I'm the same, type 2 and just started the 10,000 cancer research challenge throughout June. Tough going every day, but it's bound to help my diabetes and blood pressure. Lots to see as you walk along places. Just need to sort the cars properly and balance it all in some way.

Good luck folks 😊 x

So much achieved in only 3 weeks. Think I ll go for a walk around the block this evening. Felt breathless this morning just walking around 2 shops it's helped me make the decision to help myself.

Hi suemargit13

I've had a shocking winter and was determined to get out as much as I can this summer..done over 12000 steps today and covered 6 miles. Mixture of shopping and going for a walk, wont lie im knackered now lol. Weather this morning made me a bit breathless but best thing I've done....only do what you can though. This FitBit is the motivation.. When you look at it and not done much it spurs you on to do a little, just moving around the house. Dreading winter so making the most of it. X
