Annual MRI scan for AN after surgery

Hi all, 2 weeks ago i had my 2nd MRI scan to check on signs of any tumour regrowth since my surgery Aug 21. I thought i would receive my results via letter but instead i have an appointment to see the Neurosurgeon. Is this the normal procedure for everyone as i'm alittle anxious that maybe they need to talk to me about more treatment especially as i have had more symptoms of head pressure. :-(

I have a scan every 2 years (after gamma knife in 2014) and always have a follow up appointment with my consultant, usually in person, but since covid it's by telephone. After the appointment a follow up letter is sent. No regrowth so far for me. Hope all is well with you.

Hoping you will get good news! I did have a regrowth but then I had Gamma Knife procedure and it stopped the regrowth.

Hi musicman, out of curiosity how long was it before it started growing again that you had to have gamma knife?

It was about 6 mo. after surgery that I had GN, then my MRI 8 mo. later showed no new growth.

Thanks for your reply. That's great that there is no more regrowth

Yes, I'm very grateful for that, though still dealing with long-term effects from the tumor and surgery.

Hi musicman5, can I ask please how long it took you to recover following surgery and did you have a choice or was it your decision to have surgery. Thanks
