I noticed people have mentioned difficulties driving at night .Is this another symptom of having an acoustic neuroma or just an age thing ?

New Diagnosis of Acoustic Neuroma

I was diagnosed with AN 10days ago after suddenly losing my hearing in my right ear 18 months ago. I have had a long wait to see ENT specialist and originally diagnosed with otosclerosis until my MRI scan showed a 2cm AN. When the consultant told me I presumed it would be a wait and watch game but he

I’m going to see a private ENT tomorrow, could I possibly have an acoustic neuroma or is it unlikely ?

my tumor came back

Hi I was wondering if anyone has had their Acoustic Neuroma come back? I had surgery 3 years ago and had my MRI scan 2 weeks ago. My tumor has returned. I can’t believe it. I’ve finally have felt better it has taken 3 years to get back to normal.

acoustic neuroma 1.9cm

I have been diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma that was 1.9cm in February but didn’t receive my results until June. I have seen a neurosurgeon at royal london hospital who has advised me that i will require active treatment due to my age. Either radiotherapy or surgery.

Best Surgeon for an Acoustic Neuroma

Hello everyone. I found this forum and it looks like it could be of real help. 4 years ago my wife was diagnosed with an AN and, following 6-8 months of monitoring, was given radiotherapy (at Addenbrookes) to treat it. To cut a very long story short, she has suffered distessing symptoms ever since

Cerebellar degeneration

Anybody else being diagnosed with cerebellar degeneration following acoustic neuroma neurosurgery? Had neurosurgery in 2018 and already some 9-10 months following surgery and rehab, my balance started worsening.

hearing/ear issues

Hi, I’ve developed hearing loss/tinnitus in one ear and am waiting for an MRI to exclude an acoustic neuroma. I have mixed connective tissue disease and so one of the other possibilities is that these symptoms are due to an autimmune process. I wondered if anyone had any similar experiences?

Eye watering

I had my acoustic neuroma surgery in 2018. I have been using Hylo Forte eye drops to keep my eye moist. Surgery was performed on right side and my right eye has always been good. But from past two days that eye is constantly watering. Does anyone know why?
