If anyone has surgery coming up and was petrified like me I can honestly say the build up is worse.
I am coming through the other side with sickness and pain and amazingly the angels at the hospital have persevered my facial nerve. I am completely deaf the left hand side. But I am here I am with my kids and I cant wait to be up and about soon.
If anyone had anything on there mind please message me as I had it all I was worried sick.
But the anticipation is so much worse and the days feeling like you are in a tumble dryer feel like ages ago now.
Surgery was the best option for me and I am so greatfulfor the wonderful NHS.
Now to wait another 5 days to wash this hair!!!!

Great to read your positive post. For me, positivity has played a bit part of my recovery so far (2 weeks post surgery today). Any time feeling down or in a bit of pain, I just remind myself (like you have said) I'm here with my family and kids.... and my smile is back on my face.
Thinking about how im doing today, verses this time last week, I "think" I'm doing ok with my progress - step by step, one day at a time, as they say. I am sure with your positive attitude you will continue to get stronger by the day.
Welldone and a speedy recovery xxx life is love and your kids are your reason and mine too. Awaiting mri results, but prepared and feel reassured reading your post , good luck my friend xlindsay from lincs
