I’m not sure what, if anything, they’ll do for your tinnitus. It’s something you will likely have to get used to and, believe me, you will. It does take time. For me, it took about four years to get to a point where i didn’t think about it all the time but now, 15 years since it started, I hardly even notice it.

It’s not the end of the world. I am always grateful I don’t have it in both ears, and it was a neuroma and not cancer. Thing can always be worse. Best of luck x

weny:

Tinnitus is forever and comes in many forms including whooshing, chirping, rushing water, crickets, popping, bells and the never-ending high pitched hiss.

Nobody can help you but yourself. You just have to accept the fact that it is there and always will be and that there is nothing you can ever do about it. The sooner you accept that the sooner you can learn to ignore it and move on with your life.

With that realization, it took me a few months to ignore it and that was 18 years ago. It's still there, but not stressing me out any more except when it is very loud due to imbibing wine, exercising, etc., (causing the other weird sounds), but it is gone in less than an hour.
