This is my first post.Last year I had problems with my left ear,My GP referred me to Blackheath Hospital for a MRI scan.As a result of this I was told iI have an acoustic neuroma(16mm)This was December 2017.Tomorrow I attend Guys Hospital,ENT dept.I'm apprehensive, but it will be good to know what the plan is.

I went to Guys Hospital today to see Professor Dan Jiang,he said I would have an MRI scan in May,then again in May 2019.I feel now I can make some plans in my lifer good outcome.

Hi Jim, the good news is that there is no need to panic. There are a range of treatments and indeed you may never need treatment. Well Chris,you were right,I will have as MRI scan in May then again in May 2019.Professor Jiang was extremely helpful,I was able to obtain considerable information.

Hi Jim

I have also recently been diagnosed with AN.

I found BANA very, very helpful - see bana-uk.com. British Acoustic Neuroma Association is a charity set up here in the UK. Since I joined, I have spoken to several people at BANA, they have all been very supportive, informative and kind.

I underwent surgery to debulk my acoustic neuroma nearly 2 years agoi ound BANA helpful to i was really scared,hope you get sorted jim
