Depression/anxiety following chiropractic treatment

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me. A month ago I started visiting a chiropractor to work on some nerve and ligament problems in the upper half of my spine, particularly around the neck and shoulders. After the first session I felt like my body had gone into shock - I was warned this would happen - and this was followed by a feeling of intense sadness and lethargy. That wore off, but since then I've been feeling more than usually anxious and depressed, mixed with a cycle of negative thoughts that I can't shake off.

I was wondering if perhaps the treatment had caused or encouraged this? Apparently chiropractic treatment can disturb the chemical balance in the brain, especially if work is done on the neck. I suffer from OCD anyway, have done since childhood. Perhaps that makes me a bit more vulnerable. The more intense feelings are wearing off now, but it is still worrying.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
