My mother is 65 years old, and she feels tightness in her abdomen, around her navel, both above and below. Even when she eats, she says that her stomach feels tight and cramped. Earlier, she had pain, but all her reports came out normal. Then, it was suggested that she had a mental illness. Four months later, we got her checked again, and it was found that she had gallbladder stones. The pain has stopped, but the tightness is still there. Later, the doctor said that while removing the stone, they found TB in her abdomen. She took TB medicine for 6 months, but there was no relief. Even after giving her psychiatric medication, there’s been no improvement. We are unable to understand what the problem is. All the reports come back normal. She doesn't have BP or diabetes either. Kindly help.

It is general practice to give appropriate medication when TB is found in the stomach. Benefit may vary person to person. For peace of mind..speak to her Specialist.
