i had this issue for almost a month now and saw dermatologist who prescribed lotion, foam and shampoo which didn’t help so u went back to primary who gave me a shot for the itchiness and a antihistamine tablet ti help as it has gotten a little better as i burning and stinging only on top of head with no headache just mild pain and dr said i don’t qualify for a CT Scan as i present no other red flag signs and don’t want to put me through radiation as not necessary as have follow up in 1 month as feel it is anxiety or stress related so reaching out to others to see if anyone had similar problems and how they dealt with the issue as at my witt’s end and don’t know if u should be seeing another dermatologist fir a second opinion . Any suggestions or advice from others would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I can sympathise with you as I am going through the same thing. I was given lotion for when I wash my hair and have just been prescribed a mousse which I have not yet used.

Do you have issues with any other areas on your body? My skin has broken out in a few places, including around my eyes. It is very annoying as I do not know what caused it. This has been going on for about 2 months now.

No just top of my head and going for a second dermatology opinion tomorrow and only at top of head no other body parts and you can reach me at my e mail at jadefruite@gmail if you want to talk and think it could be skin cancer as did too much reading lol and all started after i got a hair cut at salon and she left in leave in conditioner on my head to come home and then started a few days later. What did your doctor say as having no biopsey s will refer myself back to primary which i have appointment 8/26 :)

I have an appointment with dermatology at the start of September so I am hoping to get some answers then.

Is your scalp still the same or is it getting better?

Hope your appointment goes well

You could try rinsing your scalp with a solution of apple cider vinegar and water daily and see if it helps. Mix it 1 : 4 with water and pour it on your scalp. Leave it on a minute or two then rinse off. Even if it doesn't help your scalp, it'll make your hair shiny.
