Brain scan for sinuses problem

Please can anyone help me I had to see a consultant about years of sinus problem s. He arranged for me to hav a brain scan which iam waiting for results I suffer from anxiety and my nerves are gone waiting for results.Does any one know why I wud hav to hav a brain scan for sinus. Thank u
