I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Sept. Had left masectomy on Oct 12th no radiation or chemo needed. I meet with the oncologist in 1 week and he will put me on an esteogen blocker. No family history at all. I am 64 years old and in good health. Needless to say it was a shock. I am back at the gym building up strength again. A friend told me about this site. Thank you for sharing!

It sounds like it was detected early and you are on your way! I'm happy for you. I'm the same age here. My issue is pelvic and otherwise very healthy too, thankfully. Good luck!

🙂Such good news that you didn’t need treatment.

I had a Lumpectomy, chemo and radiotherapy in 2014..for Grade 3 Breast Cancer…I’m 73.

I was completely shocked. I guess you never know. They caught it early but always afraid it is somewhere else. I have to get over the fear.

I was stunned myself.

I’d showered in the morning and noticed nothing untoward. It was a hot day, so I showered later..and couldn’t miss the lump..

Mine was caught early too..but as you say there’s always the thought.
