I have had itching in many parts of my body, face head , GP just put me on an antihistamine, loratadine which ive been taking for over 10years. On the odd occasion when ive not had them to take the itching is as before. If i cannot get loratadine so have to have another the itching is just as bad as ever..? Its driving me nuts.

my menopausal specialist was very helpful.I'm you should aim to get seen by a specialist - that's why they are trained for many years.

In my area of the UK ive never heard of anyone having seen a menopause specialist, if only because the GP does not always want to offer even an appointment for those problems. I do see a HRT nurse for blood pressure checks but she's never asked me anything or offered much advice other than lose weight, which isn't easy when other medical problems inhibit movement.Thankyou very much for all the help you've offered.

I have an allergic reaction to sun rays, so after being on sun, my arms always itch.

Hi Have you had your liver enzymes tested? Itching can be a symptom of an autoimmune disease called PBC. It treated is with Ursodiol but we take the medication for life. It’s a very slow moving disease and not uncommon to take years to diagnose because it is relatively rare. Be well
