Period

Hi

Has anyone experienced long bleeding after their period? I started my period on the 21st July and up till now I still have some kind of bleeding but not heavy at all. My iron and vitamin d levels are low and on medication for both.

Can anyone shes some light pls?

I had the issue as a side effect of medication but it could be birth control or the menopause or something more serious. Prolonged periods can be a symptom of a lot of things so it's probably best to see your GP and ask for a referral to a gynaecologist.

Hi hun I'm the same and I have pcos and suffer with heavy prolonged periods for 8 years now ... I'm currently on day 8 of my period which is going on forever basically taking the utter piss to end ... best thing is do what I'm doing and get an appointment with ya gp to get it sorted 👌 and don't take TRA as that will also make ya periods longer ..... I took tra this month for 3 days and stopped and the bleeding has just continued

Please make an appointment with your GP as others have said prolonged bleeding is awful and should be investigated I’ve encountered this for years! After a no nonsense review with my GP I’ve finally been referred for scans and had a Gynaecology appointment and surgical procedure to help stop my periods. My periods Could last 3 months at a time heavy and flooding and clots galore literally had no quality of life. Please push to get investigated sooner than later.
