I'm 19 and for an month or so I've had an painful and swollen breast, however it is numb to touch and I can only feel pain that is in the breast. Doctors have misdiagnosed me more than once saying it was an infection, hormonal and mastitis, last time I visited the A&E department, they said they found an difference in the affected breast, they also said an MRI may be needed to further investigate
It's getting more painful and it's still swollen and I have an appointment next week, I've also hardly ate because of the pain and do not know what I could have or what could be done to solve all this can you help?

🤔 I recently had concerns, and was given a Mammogram and an ultrasound to detect any abnormality. If you can’t control the pain with OTC meds, ask your GP for advice. But they may be reluctant to give a prescription until investigations are completed.
Hi, I'm on codeine and those arent working. I also had an ultrasound and nothing was found, hence why the doctor from A&E suggested an MRI because it could be something the ultrasound did not pick up, he also explained it is definitely not mastitis nor hormonal, which is worrying (somewhat) I see the breast clinic next week but its driving me nuts with the amount of pain I'm constantly in
They’re probably doing an MRI because a Mammogram would be too painful with your current symptoms, it will also pick up anything undetectable by a Mammogram. I’m so sorry you aren’t getting adequate pain relief..
