Hello, has anyone experienced severe dizziness for no apparent reason? It is actually escalating, and I don’t know if I should be worried or not. Any advice would be helpful, thank you and stay safe and well as you can.
Severe dizziness : Hello, has anyone... - Women's Health
Severe dizziness
Do you mean dizziness or vertigo ? Obviously it's not normal and there will be a cause for both although not necessarily easy to diagnose, but you should see your GP and if you drive then best not to until you know what's going on.
Hello bantam12, for the past week or so, I have started getting extremely dizzy, not only on standing or walking, but on sitting as well. I feel like I’m on a merry go round, head is spinning 24/7. Thank you for taking the time to reply. X
This could be due to any number of reasons, but it could cause you to lose balance and have falls.. Best to make an appointment with your GP.
🤔 Did you hit your head during the accidents..
Hello wobblybee, no I haven’t had any falls in a good few weeks. Yes, I am extremely frightened of that happening, but at the same time, I have to continue going on with my life. Thank you for your time in replying to me.
Hello,It might not be related but I was having periods of dizziness and head spinning too. Even when sitting. I think it was low blood pressure. I supplemented magnesium and I haven't had the problem since.
Good luck.
Hi Jinnty89 it’s so scary isn’t it … def speak to your GP. Can only speak from experience but my bp was always 42-46 with daily AF but generally just getting up too fast, bending over, just doing absolutely nothing too 😩. Stopped me doing so much 😔 & I felt so alone. Magnesium did help a little tho. Dissecting my diet & educating myself too - sugar was a def no no for me! Hardest part was stopping the monkey mind anxious chatter in my mind - but that was the game changer. It’s a daily practice forever. Talk to your AF nurses discuss your meds. I hope you get off this roller coaster period soon - good luck 😀
Hello, sorry to be a bit thick, but what is AF? I do normally suffer from low blood pressure, and like you certain things I do affect me. But, this dizziness is a whole new level than I’ve ever had before. From going from say, a 3 for dizziness, I’m now at a 8/9, which isn’t good. As I said, I will wait a little while, then contact my dr, hopefully that is, and take it from there. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. Stay safe.
Hi -AF is atrial fibrillation- I thought you were on the AF forum so just went back up & saw you’d posted in women’s health so apologies from me 😁!! Good luck getting diagnosed I wish you the best - dizziness is horrid - take care
Yes l experience severe dizziness early hours of the morning in particular. Finally spoke to my GP who prescribed tabs for vertigo and a month later antibiotics for an inner ear infection .Good luck sorting it.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, it is very much appreciated. Take care
Dehydration can be the reason
Copper defiviency might be another reason
I had a friend who had this and it was a folic acid deficiency c
Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply to me. It has been greatly appreciated. Will give it another week to see how it goes. Stay safe and well all.
