Covid Jab and allergies

Hello everyone, I am trying to reach out to anyone who had the Pfizer jab who also has a severe anaphylaxis inducing allergy. I was originally told I couldn't have it due to a serious allergy but research has recently changed and as I am not allergic to any of the vaccine ingredients (my allergy is to penicillin) apparently it is safe for me to have it. I very much want to have the vaccine but being 26 I cannot have AstraZeneca and the Moderna one is proving hard to find where I live. I am just a little concerned as to whether Pfizer is definitely going to be safe as the research is constantly changing in relation to allergies. Any experiences regarding the above query would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Sarah

If you call the helpline, I'm sure they could help with tracking down a moderna one, if you did prefer that option.

If it felt like the lesser risk, I'm sure you could request AZ too, it's not that they're unwilling to give it, it's just that you need to be making an informed choice about it.

Afraid I can't help on the anaphylaxis, but good luck with whatever you choose to do :)
