Please try not to worry - the leaflets that are included are out of date and are the same as for the older types of hrt. Have you heard of Louise Newson? She`s trying to get the leaflets changed. Have a look at her website, I think you`ll find her very reassuring on the benefits of hrt: menopausedoctor.co.uk/menop... also use combi patches and these are far safer than tablets as they are transdermal.

Hello again! Yes it`s absolutely fine to have alcohol - obviously don`t go mad! Hope you`re soon feeling all the benefits of your hrt xx

Started HRT patch about 5 months ago along with micronized progesterone. It has made a tremendous change in my life! I did a whole bunch of research before. (Read Estrogen Matters.) The book is written by an oncologist and he talks about how HRT is protective for the heart (when it is taken at the right time of life) as well as for the bones. I’ve noticed no more hot flashes and incredible sleep. Also has helped with colleges which I’ve read helps keep the bladder in place. I’m no longer peeing 4 times a night. No more vaginal dryness. It’s been a game changing experience for me. I no longer am suffering through menopause. And, most importantly am protecting my bones. My dexascan showed osteopenia in my hip. Hip fractures are hard to come back from. I feel like it was the right choice for me. Again Estrogen Matters is a great book.
