Hard stomach under belly button?

I'm 22. Female.

Currently on period.

When standing I've noticed today that under my naval, slightly to the right in my abdomen it's completely solid. Feels like a ball is there under my skin. However when I lie down it's completely soft again.

I've hAd on and off constipation and exhaustion recently. Any ideas what might be causing this? It's really bizzare find!!

🤔 You would need a Doctor to give an expert opinion, but it could have some thing to do with muscles.

The deepest layer of abdominal muscles is called the "transversus abdominis." The transverse abdominal muscle wraps around the torso from front to back and from the ribs to the pelvis. The muscle fibers of the transversus abdominis run horizontally, similar to a corset or a weight belt.
