Pictures of swelling

I know I’m posting a lot but I thought some pictures might help people to understand better about what’s going on with the swelling from this infection.

So I’ve labelled the pictures 1-4 and I’ll be talking about each picture individually

Ok so In picture number 1 which is a picture of what my tongue and under my tongue is looking like. I feel like all underneath my tongue looks swollen it also has some ulcer looking things under there too that I’ve noticed tonight. And the bottom half of my tongue looks swollen and inflamed as well and you can see there’s little red dots on top of my tongue.

Picture number 2 is a picture of inside of my cheek. The inside of both cheeks is super swollen you can even see it’s pushing up against my teeth. When my mouth is closed more it’s actually resting on top of my teeth a bit. And as you can see beside it there’s a small lump as well towards the top of my cheek.

Picture number 3 is a picture of my tonsils so you can see how red and inflamed they look

And picture number 4 is a picture of my left tonsil. There’s little spots of pus all over it.

Does this look like oral thrush. That’s what my mum thinks it’s is.

Or can tonsillitis cause other things to swell apart from the tonsils (I’ve had a swab for strep bacteria and it came back negative)

A few people have even said that I could have hypothyroidism since I have high TSH levels so could that cause all this to swell.

And I have terrible anxiety as well so could that be the cause of all this?

🤔You really need a medical opinion.

I know :( I’ve shown 2 GPs and a ENT and they have no idea what’s causing it and they just send me away. I’m hoping I might be able to find someone on here that’s hopefully gone through something similar so they can tell me their outcome and what they ended up doing to fix it. It’s rlly scary when not even your doctor knows what it is. 😢

my baby had oral thrush and none of your pics look like his mouth did. he had white inner cheeks and a white tongue which when scraped with a fingernail didn't come off. it was easily treated with an over the counter oral ointment but everything that went in his mouth had to be sterilised daily to kill the bacteria.

my toddler recently had tonsillitis and they were red like yours but also swollen to the point of almost touching. she needed 2 doses of antibiotics.

My doctors have no idea what it is either they said they think it’s tonsillitis but they’re not 100% sure. I’m going to a different GP tomorrow to get a second opinion. I’m thinking now that it could be an allergy to something in my diet. So I’m going to ask if I can get some allergy tests done tomorrow.
