Is physiotherapy effective for stroke patients?

Hi Guys,

I am from Toronto. My mother-in-law has suffered a stroke recently. Even though she was not paralyzed, she cannot talk properly and cannot do anything on her own. She is under treatment and is consuming medicines on time. If she gets bedridden, then her body muscles get stiff, and she may lose her strength. It won't be easy to manage such a situation. When discussing this matter with my cousin, he told me that in-home physiotherapy services( physiomobility.com/home-hea... are available. He said physiotherapists provide individualized treatment plans customized to one's health issues, and she doesn't want to go to any clinic as the services are at home. He said that it would be helpful for her. Has anyone of you or your loved ones tried in-home physiotherapy services after stroke? Did you get good results? Please share your experiences as it would be a great help.

Thanks!
