hi I have a question to anyone who can help me understand a little better about my situation. I came off the pill in April had my withdrawal bleed and had my first actual period and wondering how I’m not pregnant yet I’m young so I guess it just takes time?

Hi

It could just be that your body needs time to adjust to the new ‘normal’ and for your hormones to settle.

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and was told I would never have children, yet when I came off the pill it only took a month for me to become pregnant. I believe this to be because I got my body ready first. I changed my diet and made sure I was eating the right foods, I started taking folic acid and I made sure I wasn’t consuming too much alcohol.

I also told myself that I wasn’t going to get stressed about it, and if it happens it happens, if it doesn’t then keep trying, but I never put pressure on myself.

I now have an amazing 10 year old daughter.

If your young you have plenty of time for it to happen, but don’t get stressed if it doesn’t happen straight away. Our bodies are all different and need time to adjust.

Take care and good luck 🤞🏻
