Very very faint line on pregnancy test

My husband and I are tying to conceive.

I took a test this morning and couldn't decide whether the faint line I saw was in my imagination or a mark on the test where the test line would show so took m another one. This one convinced me more there was a faint line so took two more.

Do you think they do show the indent of where a positive would show or are they actually positive?! The bigger tests look negative to me but the smaller ones I'm less sure.

🤔I can see a line, how defined does it need to be .. Recently it was suggested that using a test which actually showed the word ‘pregnant’ in the window would be instantly more recognisable.

I'm going to go get one of these today. I think I need it spelling out before I can let myself believe it's positive!

You think?! I'm going to go buy an expensive one that spells it out today before I get my hopes up!

Would be perfect to tell my husband on Fathers Day tomorrow!

Unfortunately I don't think they do. One line shows the test has been used, but it needs a second line to confirm pregnancy.

We've had quite a lot of similar posts recently asking about a faint second line, so it could be worth contacting those women to see if it was a positive or not. Unfortunately most of these 2-lines tests do show a faint second line, I think someone explained that it's because they are meant to test for (I think but not 100% sure) progesterone and you will have a very small amount of progesterone (?) in your system normally that creates a very faint second line, but that isn't high enough to indicate a positive result.

If you're unsure then a test that spells it out will clear up any doubt.

Guys, I bought a clear blue test last night. It was positive 1-2 weeks!

(Which is confusing as from my last period that is 4 weeks 3 days, but still positive!)

Congratulations! Clear blue dates from the week you concieved, so you would add two weeks on as midwives will date from your last period xxx

Congrats!

You conceive when you ovulate, which is usually around 2 weeks after your last period.
