Is this normal?

Had the mirena coil fitted 2 weeks ago to help with periods, bled for only a couple of days then a week later I am experiencing horrific period pains and have been bleeding for a week now and is getting worse am having to use tampons and towels which need to be changed every 2 hours, is this normal?

🤔 It wouldn’t be unreasonable to make an appointment with your GP. Type ‘Bleeding after Mirena Coil’ in the search box ( top of this page on the right) to find other similar posts.

Thank you.. it seems to be getting lighter now & the pain has eased.. not what I want 3 weeks before I go on holiday
