Discharge confusion (HELP! :( )

Hello. I am somewhat new to this site and would really appreciate some insight. What does brown, thick discharge mean? I woke up this morning and had some (not too thick at first). I didn't think much of it and went on about my day. It happened again so I had put a tampon in to try and stop it. Then when I went to take it out, there was a thick like brown goop all over it with spots of red at the bottom. What does this mean??

Not yet.. Its getting weirder now. I started to bleed as if it were my period (but Ive already had it this month) and then it stopped and more discharge came.

Call your doctor and tell them what you’re telling me. Say you want to come to the office either Thursday afternoon or anytime Friday this week at the latest. If they can’t see you, say you want to come next week.

It could be an infection so it’s important to see you GP/ doctor. Don’t leave it as it will just get worse if it’s an infection as you will need antibiotics. Hope all goes well for you.

I tend to have this discharge after my period! I usually have for about 4/5 days. I have feeling it’s the old blood what’s coming out x
