Ive had unprotected sex and have now placed an order for the contraceptive pill ‘cerelle’. I’m wondering if I take it in the next 3 days (when it’s most likely to be delivered). Will it prevent me becoming pregnant? (act like emergency contraceptive)

A good question to as a pharmacist or doctor. The only pill I’m aware that prevents pregnancy is Plan B

Unlikely - I seem to recall that you have to take the pill for seven days before it’s effective as contraception. If you’re worried you need to speak with a pharmacist or gp.

The pill only prevents pregnancy once it is taken for a month. It is a hormone, but taking it trying for it to work like a plan B pill will not work. This is why they tell you, if you miss a day of birth control, to use condoms still because if you miss a dose you can get pregnant.
