Hello there! I am fifty two years old and went through my menopause early. I have had trouble in the past with bloating, cramps, loss of appetite. The doctor I saw was an intern. He said it was irritable Bowel Syndrome
This was a few mob this ago. Now I am having the severe cramps and all other afore mentioned symptoms but I am bleeding now too. First light red now brownish sludge?
Can anyone help me by saying if they have suffered similar and what to expect. I am worried!
Thanx.

A number of things can cause postmenopausal bleeding. Most of the time it's caused by either : inflammation and thinning of the vagina, thinning of the lining of the uterus, or growths (polyps) in the cervix or uterus, which are usually not cancerous. We women don’t expect to see any bleeding years after menopause, so I know this is bound to be worrying, but remember it’s not necessarily a reason for real concern. It’s impossible to generalise about this sort of thing because everyone is different, for peace of mind, consider asking your doctor for an opinion 🙂xB
