Hello

I have been having brown discharge and yellow discharge with blood . Then spotting and blood. Some blood then stops and then have the same . Could this be a form for period due to PCOS? Has anyone else had this ?

Your GP or gynaecologist is the best person to ask, just in case the cause needs attention. Best to be safe than sorry!

Thanks Badhare

Spoken to Nurse . Who said I have to see doctor so they can look at cervix and then I am going to ask to be rereferred on as they could not find my cervix last time !

I just want to see someone at the hospital to get this sorted and doctors don't know anything!

Feed up of swabs and no answers need this to be checked more ! Have had ultra sounds .

At least you’re in a queue for investigation. Did the nurse say why she was unable to find your cervix? What did the ultrasound show?

Hello Bad Hare

It was the doctor that could not find my cervix and no .

That I still had PCOS and nothing other than that everything normal.

The problem is every time the doctors examine me I always bleed and in so much pain and sore this is before the swabs.

Then what do they do if they cannot find cervix ? Reading online I think you have to lie a bit differently .Not looking forward to it !

So want a friend to hold my hand but I am so embarrassed !

Good grief!!!

What kind if doctor did you see, & have they referred you to a gynaecologist?

If a doctor can’t find your cervix then clearly the situation is not normal. Sorry if that alarms you, but it seems like a good time to see someone that didn’t get their qualifications from a lucky bag!

I’m sure a good friend would sit at your head end whilst the “doctors” scrimmage about in your nether regions. One who will drive you to the hospital & back with a box of hankies would be marvellous! Make sure to take an appropriate dose of antii-inflammatory medication an hour or so in advance, & a strong pain killer with a hot cup of sugary tea or coffee half an hour before. Having been through an unmediated colposcopy by dicktors that seemed to have the medical qualifications from a soap opera, I’d also take a handful of diazepam &/or tramadol, or the strongest relaxant your GP will prescribe. It’s a horrible procedure, so being smashed out of your head whilst it happens could make it more bearable.

It might be an idea to request an ultrasound of your uterus to assess the lining & look for fibroids, polyps, & asteroids (as my friend called my fibroid) if that’s not been done already.

Grrr....

Hello Badhare

Thanks for your advice my doctors answer for not finding my cervix is I don't have a boy friend so not in a relationship so there for harder to find cervixs. Never heard that one before but I have spoken to pepole and its not un found of not to be able to find cervix . Is it worth me asking for a colposcopy what will they find from it will look up online?

I so worry all week my period will start before I go.

I am so sore all the time but last time I got cut by a speculum by new doctor so that might be the pain I am so worried about going back . As after the doctor cut me she tired again 4 times to find cervixs to the point of bleeding .

Our doctors is horrible !!

Well, what a load of sloblocks they've told you!

They need to find your cervix to do a colposcopy or a basic smear test: nhs.uk/conditions/colposcopy/

I've had a few as my cervix is weird, though they were done by a competent doctor until they decided everything was fine. I was later passed on to the gynaecology department as I have a fibroid. The unpleasant examination was actually a bitched hysteroscopy (I couldn't remember the name of the procedure when I was replying earlier as being bounced about on a bus) where a camera is inserted in the uterus via the cervix. It was unbearably painful as the fibroid displaced my cervix, which is why you might need a scan to see why yours seems to be "missing." I had, & have no ill effects as a result of the fibroid/asteroid, though a few friends have much smaller than me & suffered symptoms similar to yours. I hope someone competent comes to your rescue soon, as it's horrible to go through!

Hello Bad hare

Seeing the same doctor as before she is nice but quite rude with comments and almost thought I was saying not the truth as she couldn't believe I don't have a boy friend to busy. so I hope this time all work out and I get referred . Appointment at the end off week. shall I let you know how I get on . In a private message ? thanks for all your support

My doctors want to know everything when I done an online questionnaire they asked about my mental health and this I skipped questions as nothing to do with this . Next they will blame on mental health !

There is nothing wrong with my mental health but our doctors would say anything !

I've spent 40 years with hypothyroid symptoms, so I'm well aware what they'll blame on something that has nothing to do with the actual problem!

Did you see my answer on your other post?

In my case hard lumps in groin not disappearing because of utis not targetted fairly 3 weekly & endemetriosis 9mm thick .Every time I have to go private after no or delayed provision I regard it like theft & betrayl of confidence as Insurance say pre-existing what NHS pretends is of no consequence till terminal ?! When there are stages of progression the f****** about & delay & wasting of resources is unbelievable in those who are supposed to be in a position of respect & leadership to not to abuse & bully because of this so taken on p/t with no hippocratic oaths?

Are you on the contraceptive pill at all? Do you still get periods at all?

Hello Cooper

No not on pill and periods are a few months apart .

I do think you need to see a doctor then. I don't know if PCOS causes bleeding between periods, but any unusual bleeding needs to be discussed with a GP.
