breast surgery on NHS?

I have A-Symmetric breast and I am 23, I went to the doctors last Wednesday to see if they could get me referred to see a breast specialist, they said they might not be able to do the surgery because of funding but they said they might not do. the doctor wrote a letter and I have a received a letter from TRAQs saying they will contact me to arrange an appointment. I was just wondering how long after being referred to a specialist for a breast reduction surgery will I get an appointment to see them.

If this was related to any changes which could suggest breast cancer, appointments are usually within 2wks of the initial referral. It’s unlikely that this would apply for a basic breast reduction. But if you know which hospital you’re likely to attend, you could ring and ask about waiting list times 🤔 xB
