Heavy bleeding
Some countries (India apparently one of them insofar as citizenship issues for Canada) require a DE recipient to do a 'step-parent adoption' of the baby. That means they do not consider the 'birth' Mother to be the biological Mother (in terms of lineage). They see the DE recipient as the step-parent of her husband's child.... even though she carried the child and gave birth! (They see it as similar to a surrogate - who carries and gives birth - but is not seen as the baby's biological Mother.) So to secure legal rights, they require a step parent adoption, after which they now have legal rights for the child they 'adopted'.
Hi,
Sorry to hear you're suffering.
You should go back and see your GP. You need to get a blood test done to see if you're not anemic. If it gets worse please go to the hospital don't wait around.
Sweety.
Hi Denden123
I too have heavy prolonged periods and as mentioned I was also quite anaemic. It has since been found that I have a large fibroid which I'm now receiving treatment for.
However, in the beginning my doc prescribed Tranexamic Acid, which does help reduce bleeding. I've found out recently that you can now buy this over the counter so if its an emergency it's worth considering.
But I do agree with the other poster, you really should go to see the GP as they can look for causes and also check for any knock-on effects like anaemia.
