TTC without Uterus

Hi, there! I have a very serious health issue that doesn’t let me get pregnant. I was born without a uterus. However, I have two ovaries, so I have all chances to get pregnant. Of course, surrogacy is my only chance to get pregnant. Neither my hubby nor I have a female relative who would agree to become a surrogate. We need to find a surrogate from outside. My hubby says that it would be better if we contact a fertility clinic and ask them find a surro mum for us. Is there anybody here who has experienced surrogacy? How did you find a surrogate?

Hi! Firstly, I should say that I feel really sorry about your health issue. As far as I know, such kind of pathology is rather rare. However, you should give up by any means. You have two ovaries and they do produce oocytes. Like you, I’m also looking for a surro mum. I can’t get pregnant cause I have some kidney problems. My doc recommends me not to get pregnant as my kidneys may stop working. This is the main reason why my hubby and I decided to apply for a surrogacy program. We’ve decided to ask a fertility clinic to find a surrogate for us as they usually provide a wider range of services than agencies can.

Hi, FashionableBride! Thanks for your answer! I’m really glad that I met you here. We also decided to ask a fertility clinic to find a surrogate for us. Unfortunately, neither my hubby nor I have any close female relatives or friends who would agree to help us, so we need to find a person from the outside who would agree to carry and give birth to our child. Have you already chosen the clinic to deal with? If ‘yes’, could you please share the way you’ve chosen the clinic? Looking forward to hear your answer!

I am considering AI as I've had no luck conceiving naturally. I've been told it might be difficult for me to conceive from a number of procedures I've been through in the past, including an operation to remove a cyst in one ovary.

In my mid-thirties and been married to my second husband a couple of years. Needless to say, the pressure for me to conceive is enormous.

Lately I spend my time reading about AI as am almost certain of going that way if nothing works out soon. I suspect the problem is with me I've previously had a Doctor tell me I have low ovarian reserve. Don't know why as he said the condition is common to women in their forties. Considering that might be the problem and since am in a hurry to give my DH a child, can I find a place where my problem can be diagnosed and if need be discuss AI? My search on the net has yielded a couple of such clinics which include one known as BioTexCom-Kiev which seems to be quite popular from the reviews left by users. Any leads, anyone? That's before I speak to my husband, see if he will consider accepting an egg donor to come to our aid. I feel quite drained right now.

While choosing a fertility clinic you need to be sure that a surrogate will be treated well. Reputable clinics and agencies always describe in the contracts they offer their clients to sign up the way they will take care of a surrogate. This woman should be treated really well to feel comfortable during her pregnancy. She must get all necessary meds. It will be really nice if the clinic gives her a certain sum of money to pay for her living expenses. I took these things into consideration while I was choosing a clinic. Of course, you need to watch the price as surrogacy isn’t a cheap procedure I should say. Though in many countries you’re forbidden to pay anything to a surrogate, you have to pay for the clinic’s services. It isn’t cheap I should say.
