Spotting on pill

Hello, 

I've been on the Femodette pill for about 6 months now and never had issues with it. 

I decided to postpone my periods a couple days ago, but have been spotting ever since (which defeats the purpose of postponing my periods really). 

 Has anyone experienced this ? 

What could cause this ?
