Alendronic Acid

I know you are supposed to take these tablets with tap water as spring water's minerals can adversely affect the digestion of the pills, I had a reaction to this on holiday a couple of years ago. I am about to move to France and the water in our house comes from the well which comes from the hills... Spring water! I am concerned I will have another reaction, has anyone any advise or had a similar experience? Thank you

Our water here at home in Suffolk comes from a well. No mains water at all. I haven't experienced any issues. I do avoid mineral water, but when abroad it is sometimes the only choice. Not sure why it would matter?

I've been taking AA for over 4 years with no ill effects and have also sometimes taken it with mineral water (also thankfully with no problems). Does anyone know why mineral water should be avoided...?
