Well the name probably explains one of the problems behind the weight gain, as I do enjoy a glass of wine or two or three or floor....
I've never been thin yet while I was in sixth form I grew to be comfortable with my shape (aka loved having big boobs). However recently I've began to really dislike my shape, I no longer enjoy shopping as don't feel like I look good in clothes and don't feel confident around new people. I'm 5ft 2, 12 and half stone and 20 years old, I tend to wear size 14/16 size clothing.
Being a student I am in the binge drink culture, going out twice a week beginning with a bottle of wine. I want to find a way of still going out (I know I shouldn't, but I do enjoy being a bit merry sometimes) and being healthy/ losing weight.
Other than alcohol my problem is simply that I eat too much and am a bit lazy - I.e. walking to the fridge is exercise! My aim is to lose 2 stone, I don't care about being skinny I just want to be comfortable in my own skin. I would love to be a size 10/ small size 12 buttttt I want to keep my boobies! (They're very welcome to drop a bra size and go a bit more north!!).
My ultimate aim is to wear a bikini as I have never been comfortable enough to wear one.
Tomorrow it all begins - wish me luck!

Hi winelover92,
One issue you're going to come up against is that alcohol just isn't the friend of the dieter.
You'll find plenty about that on the web - this link being as good as many others -
As for which part of you body you lose or don't lose your weight from - that's probably somewhere in the lap of the gods or your DNA or something like that!
Some bit of body fat is always going to be the first bit to go, just as some other bit will be the last bit to shift, too.
If you've not already read the NHSChoices live well lose weight pages, then I highly recommend you do. It's all totally free, including the BMI calculator and the 12 week plan, and has lots of good information and advice.
You'll also find plenty of tips and advice from people on this blog, who in the main are actually doing weight loss themselves.
You know, you might just find losing weight helps you discover a different body and skin inside of yourself in which to feel comfortable.
Good luck with your weight loss journey.
(Actually, I was reading the other day that wine drinking is increasingly going 'out of vogue' even in traditional wine-loving countries such as France and Italy - it seems the younger generations are less sold on the idea of wine with most meals).
Well you may have to pick you're drinking times or ways like me I've given up weekday so I can enjoy weekends or its alternate booze with soft diet drinks or make drink last as spritzer! One thing I did try was low calorie wine arghhhh it was awful but that's my opinion it must sell or they wouldn't stock it so I may try different varieties when I'm feeling adventurous lol Good luck
