Diets don't work
Hi pravindkj,
Actually they work very well - for some people.
But it depends what you mean by the word. I've just cut out the naughties, cut down the portions and got myself into a good routine in terms of eating and snacking.
It you like, I've 're-trained' myself to eat sensibly. I've add some exercise/activity and it's working just fine for me.
But it does require commitment and perseverence.
Personally, for me it's not just about a "diet", it's about a lifestyle change and I really don't intend to go back to my previous bad eating habits, sedentary lifestyle and being 26 kgs overweight.
It's worth reading around the NHS live well lose weight pages there's plenty of good advice there about diet, nutrition, exercise, etc., and it's all totally free. There's even a free 12 week plan, a BMI calculator, and some interesting information about 'diets' too.
Read around these blogs, some people are doing pretty well on 'diets'.
I've found that 'diets' do work. It's eating that's the problem.
